Charles River Development Engineer
Alderson Loop is looking for a Charles River Development Engineer to join a Fortune 500 investment firm. Daily the Engineer will be performing C# and SQL development on the Charles River Investment Management System. The positions are long-term contracts that are 100% remote and offer competitive salaries.
Some additional selling points, the company has been using CRIMS for 18 years, the company is upgrading to 22r3 in 2023, using CRD SaaS, working in Manager Workbench for fixed income, the team is using AWS and is willing to teach folks AWS, and all the projects the team is working on our strategic initiatives for the firm.
Qualifications:
8+ years of development experience
Must have experience working on an Order Management System (Charles River, Aladdin, Bloomberg, etc)
Must have recent experience working for a Hedge Fund, Bank, or an Asset Management firm
Knowledge of fixed Income, buy-side, or derivatives is highly preferred
Expert level C# development
Expert level in SQL development
Experience working with AWS is preferred
Experience with SQL Server database
Charles River Investment Management System Analyst
Alderson Loop is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Charles River Investment Management System Analyst to join a Fortune 500 investment firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in configuring the Charles River Investment Management System from the backend, performing data modeling, validating data, conducting regression testing, and adeptly writing complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data. The candidate should also possess experience in retrieving data from APIs and working within the AWS environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement and optimization of our investment management processes.
Responsibilities :
Application Configuration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to configure and customize the Charles River Investment Management System according to business requirements, ensuring optimal system functionality and alignment with investment strategies.
Data Modeling: Design and implement data models that accurately represent investment data and align with industry best practices. Develop and maintain data dictionaries and documentation.
Data Validation: Conduct thorough data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity. Identify and rectify data discrepancies and anomalies in a timely manner.
Regression Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive regression testing plans to validate system upgrades, patches, and configurations. Document and communicate test results and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
SQL Expertise: Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources. Optimize query performance and ensure efficient data retrieval for reporting and analysis purposes.
API Integration: Utilize programming skills to retrieve data from external APIs and integrate it into the Charles River system. Troubleshoot and resolve any API-related issues.
AWS Environment: Collaborate with the technology team to work within the AWS environment, leveraging cloud-based tools and services to enhance system capabilities and scalability.
Collaboration: Work closely with investment professionals, traders, compliance, and IT teams to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and offer solutions to streamline processes and improve system usability.
Qualifications:
5+ years of working with the Charles River Investment Management System, including backend configuration, data modeling, and data validation
Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize query performance
Hands-on experience with API integration and data retrieval
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS
Solid understanding of investment management processes, financial instruments, and market data
8+ years of experience working within a Front Office of an Asset Management firm
