Data Analyst (Baltimore, MD)

The Data Analyst role is critical to ensure that Front Office Technology Reference, Analytical and Operational data are regarded as accurate, timely, reliable and trusted by business stakeholders. The Data Analyst accomplishes this goal by proactive monitoring and management of critical datasets and detecting data anomalies (e.g., accuracy and timing) and work with Front Office Technology counterparts to enrich the data.

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience 

  • At least 2 years’ experience in data management by one or a combination of the following: creating or maintaining complex databases; writing and executing reports to query databases; analyzing and presenting; serving as a data steward 

  • Strong SQL skills 

  • Develop SQL queries or use available data profiling applications to perform data analysis based on business requirements and data profiling reports 

  • Strong Knowledge of Oracle, Informatica, Unix Shell scripting, Autosys scheduling tools 

  • Plan, design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate moderately complex software primarily for ETL and data warehousing/reporting applications 

  • Support the creation of test plans, conduct unit tests of ETL mappings, stored procedures, and data validation scripts
