Sterling File Gateway Engineer (Owings Mills, MD)

Our current need is a contingent worker to support our Sterling File Gateway environment in a production support role. The successful candidate will have an overarching understanding of all things related to Managed File Transfers using IBM products including SFG, Sterling Integrator/B2B, use of the Sterling Control product as well as Connect: Direct in a distributed Unix-based environment. Experience in SFG and related products using V6 is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have experience in supporting internal/external file transfers using SFG, C:D and familiar with various protocols including PGP, SFTP, FTPS, etc. used in those transfers. 

  • Knowledge and experience in Unix Shell, Linux, and Windows scripting, SSL/TLS certificates, Autosys job scheduling, load balancing, and the implementation of alerting and notifications and monitoring file transfer performance and availability. 

  • Experience with SQL in a SQL Server and/or a DB2 LUW is required.

  • Knowledge of NDM (Network Data Mover) aka Connect: Direct / Mainframe is highly desirable.

  • The ability to support software upgrades, applying maintenance of Sterling File Gateway, Connect: Direct, Sterling Integrator/B2B, and Sterling Control Center highly desirable.

  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud services is highly desirable.
