SQL Developer (Baltimore, MD)

Alderson Loop is looking for a SQL Developer responsible for providing front office investment technology-based solutions supporting Investment Risk managers and analysts. The developer will work closely with quantitative analysts and investment analysts to design, implements, and maintains optimal SQL Server applications and reporting solutions that address business needs. Other responsibilities include analyzing, documenting, and assisting in support of systems, including responsibility for the resolution of low to moderately complex issues.

Qualifications:

  • College degree and 2 years of related work experience, or Associate degree and 4 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and 6 years related work experience

  • Experience working in an agile development environment and actively participated in daily standup, sprint planning and sprint retrospectives.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008 or later preferred) including Reporting Services (SSRS)

  • Strong SQL skills required, including experience in database design and stored procedure development

  • Programming skills (T-SQL, SSRS reports)
